• Once the drainageway has reached its final shape and grade through Trapper's reconstruction efforts,
application of erosion control practices and materials will be applied where appropriate. Application of
treatments will occur not later than the year following completion of all mining and regrading within a
drainage basin. However, applications will most likely occur sooner.
11 would be impractical to attempt to list every type of product or technique which may be used to stabi-
lize drainageways, particularly since improved products and techniques are constanty being developed.
However, the following are possibilities: roving materials, straw bales, brush, erosion control mats, and
blankets and soil confinement systems. If Trapper plans to use any of the following, the Division's
approval will be obtained prior to use or installation.
Drop structures
Rip rap lining
Channel liners which are impervious
However, Trapper does not expect to use the same treatments throughout the length or reach of a
drainageway. Since the overall goal is to establish a defined but stable drainageway, treatment
applications will be site-specific. For example, in the lower reaches of the main channel where flows are
the greatest, h may be necessary to use extensive and numerous combinations of materials and
methods to obtain temporary stability while perennial vegetation becomes established. However, in the
• highest reaches of the drainages where flows are low, little or no treatment may be necessary to achieve
vegetation establishment.
PR-~ _ _
• 4-183a , !
