• herd had been stab]e and sustaining itself. Now the
herd appears to be declining; but, once again, no
hard data is available.
(2) Seasonal Use Areas
(a) Winter, summer or yearlong ranges -
See (b).
(b) Location.
Antelope range throughout the area outlined on
overlay i+2 yearlong. There are two possible con-
centration areas that are not delineated because
of lack of information. The first is between the
Escalante Canyon Road and the Dominguez Reservoir
Road on the west side of Highway 50. The second
is the area between the Mesa-Delta County line
and Wells Gulch; and Highway 50 and the edge of
the pinyon-juniper zone.
• The antelope also utilize the pinyon-juniper,
which could account for the extreme variations
in the aerial trend counts, but the use is
limited.
(c) Food.
Among the plants present that are utilized by
antelope are: Browse, Artemisia sue. (sagebrush),
Artiplex sue.
