•
Page 3
Since the rubber tired equipment will be used only as
far as the underground transfer point, a main underground
shop ~•rould be built near this point. All servicing and re-
pairs vrould be done at this location so as to avoid moving
equipment outside.
The main compressors would also be located underground
as was done durir~u the previous Climax Uranium operations.
SURFACE FACILITIES
The surface site will be at the collar of the Duggan
Adit, which is located on active mineral lode claims. The
present yard will be enlarged with the waste rock from the
undergound development. All buildings, stockpiles and waste
dumps vrill be on these mineral claims, namely the t4ineral Joe
• No. 17.
The San Miguel Power Company will supply power at 28,800
volts to a privately owned substation located at the Duggan
Adit portal site. The power lines are already in place and
will only require reactivation.
Sewage and waste water will be disposed of through a
septic tank and leachfield system approved by the Colorado
State Public Health Department. Solid waste 4rill be disposed
of by burying in the waste rock dump.
Liquid storage, primarily fuels and lubricants, will be
stored in elevated tanks for gravity feed. These will be
located in compliance with MESA regulations. Also, the
storage area vrill be drained so that in case of accidental
• spillage the fluids will flow into an adequate containment
pond and will not enter the natural drainage channels.
