Species common to the understory include:
Ylestern wheatgrass
Indian ricegrass
Antelope bitterbrush
Galleta
Utah serviceberry
True mountain mahogany
Blue grama
Rabbitbrush
Snakeweed
The gravelly clay loam to the northeast, below the waste
dump area, supports similar vegetation, with a more dense
pinyon-juniper cover and less understory cover.
The average vegetation cover may be classified as sparse,
between 25~ and 50"rb.
Average annual production for this range site varies between
800 pounds per acre air dry in unfavorable years to 1500
• pounds per acre in favorable years.
No site index curves are available for pinyon pine and
Rocky Mountain juniper.
