10/14/87 14:28 <br />~~'~' 1 <br />W~~P~. <br />COLORADO <br />'~, <br />•:~ <br />WELD PUBLIC WORA <br />• <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Shani Eastin, Curcent Planner BATE: October 2, 1997 <br />FROM; Don Carroll, Pro}ect Administrator ~~ <br />SUBJECT: USR-1172; Hall-Irwin Construction Company <br />(Sand and Gravel Mining Operation) <br />I~oo~ <br />~~ <br />Fhe Weld County Public Works Department has reviewed this proposal; the following requirements are <br />recommended to be a part of any approval; <br />COMMENTS: <br />The applicant is indicating that the access from WCR 2 (168th Ave.) will be paved with a 24-inch CMP culvert to <br />Carry storm water. <br />WCR 2 (168th Ave.), at this location, falls under the jurisdiction of Adams County for maintenance. Please contact <br />Adams County for concerns on a designated haul route or possible road improvement agreements. <br />REQUIREMEIV_L5: <br />WCR 2 (168th Ave.) is designated on'the Transportation Plan Map as an arterial status road that would require <br />a future right-of-way of 100 feet. The'applicant needs to dedicate an additional 20 feet of right-of-way for future <br />expansion through their facility. The existing right-of-way at this location is 60 feet. <br />Acceleration and deceleration lanes will be required at the access point to accommodate asphaltlconcrete plants, <br />bops, etc_ This needs to be identified and placed on the plat. <br />Setbacks for mining/reclamation should be dimensioned from future rights-0f-way. The standard typical setback <br />would tle 25 feet from the property line for mining operations. <br />i <br />There will be no heavy hauling permitted on WCR 23'/: adjacent to the proposed gravel operation.
