RECE@VE®
Exhibit E
Reclamation Plan
Potts Pit #2
FED 0 1 2006
Division of Minerals and Geology
A. Mining of the proposed area will be done under a phasing plan wherein reclamation
will commence prior to mining the subsequent phases. The land shall be restored to
slopes commensurate with the proposed land use and shall not be too steep to be
traversed by livestock. Any excavated slopes will be returned to slopes of 3:1 or
flatter.
Topsoil will be placed approximately 6" thick to support plant growth. It will then be
seeded with the seed mixture identified in the attached Natural Resource Conservation
Service recommendations.
B. The pre-mined condition of the proposed area is rangeland. Subsequent to mining, all
areas will be returned to rangeland.
C. The Reclamation Plan will be implemented to meet all applicable requirements of the
reclamation measures.
1. Grading will be carried out with scrapers and a motor grader to create a
final topography appropriate for rangeland.
2. All Overburden shall be placed in the mined area by heavy equipmentto
insure adequate compaction.
3. Grading will be completed in such a manner as to control erosion on the
affected lands.
D. Stockpiles will be compacted with like kind equipment used in excavation as the
material is being stockpiled.
Any topsoil or overburden piles left for over one year will be seeded or stabilized to
protect it from erosion.
E. The estimated period of time for each phase is approximately five years. Reclamation
will be ongoing throughout the life of the mine. Final reclamation of each mining phase
shall be completed prior to the expiration of five years after the mining is complete.
Each phase will consist of up to 17 acres.
See attached local Natural Resource Conservation Service Reclamation Plan, which
will be used in the reclamation of this site.
