..

OTHER PER~IITS
The arbitrary- compliance deadline of the Colorado Water Quality Control
Division aside, there is no requirement for state-wide general Stormwater Permit
certification until 30 days before occurrence of site disturbance activity resulting
in off-site stormwater discharge. Since the initial eight staged units of this
operation, comprising several years of operations, shall be internally drained with
no off-site discharge of surface water, a Stormwater Permit certification
application would be premature at this time. A qualifying stormwater
management plan has been developed, however, and incorporated into the
reclamation permit plans.
Equipment and site emission permit applications are also in the development
phase, and not yet available for release.
County land use and floodplain considerations have been verified in compliance
by Montezuma County Administrator, Thomas J. Weaver. Please see the
attached *letter of 22 December 1997.
The County Road " 21" approach is existing and current, except that the Road
Department has "requested that a borrow ditch 12-inch CMP culvert be installed
before hauling operations begin.
The requirements of listing other permits required in Exhibit 1•i have been fully
met.
PLEASE TELEPHO`+~ OR FAX ~ ff THERE ARE ADDITIONAL REQUIRE~NTS FOR
A COnu'~LETE t4~~ ACCEPTABLE APPLICATIOid FOR THIS PROPOSED OPERATIOiQ.
THA~~IK YOU FOR YOUR VALUABLE ASSISTANCE Ii`i THIS CRITICAL REVIEW.
Sincerely,
STONE GRAVEL PIT
by: Doug Con er, Geo o, st
Agent for Darer Stone
•enclosures
cc: file, D.
