I. 2.05.3
Convevor Undemasses
Three conveyor underpasses were constructed for the downhill conveyor
project. One is located on the portal bench. The second is located
immediately below the downhill conveyor transfer building. The third is
located about midway along the downhill conveyor and will serve as a wildlife
overpass. A fourth conveyor underpass was constructed to provide haul
road access over the downhill conveyor to the B-Seam porta! bench. The
underpasses are 9-foot diameter multi-plate and are approximately 100-feet
long. The B-Seam conveyor multi-plate underpass is approximately 60-feet
long supported on concrete footers as shown on Map 38. A 3,400 face
square foot retaining supports the road up to and over the multi-plate. The
retaining wall is reinforced with Tensar geogrid and faced with decorative
concrete block.
Water Treatment Building
A small (10'X10') water treatment building located northwest of Pond C used
to add CDPS approved chemicals to the water as necessary for clarification.
Bent Protectors
• Two concrete bent protectors located at the coal stockpile level.
