EXHIBIT G - Water Information
Groundwater has not been exposed at the site and it is
believed that it is at least 12' below average ground
level. We will commit to not excavating material any
closer than 2' of the groundwater table.
All storm drainage from disturbed ground will be kept on
site in previously excavated areas and therefore a "Storm
Water Discharge Permit" will not be required.
There are no known ditches, wells, stock water ponds, or
other related structures on or within 500' of the property.
The only water to be used during mining will be for dust
abatement within the pit and on the county roads to and
from the pit during haul operations. This water will be
purchased from the City of Alamosa.
One possible use of the pit area after excavation might be
as a temporary retention area for storm drainage should the
surrounding area be developed. This would be far in the
future and no plans exist at the present time for this use.
