•
EXHIBIT L - REC]:AMATION PLAN ( COSTS )
r
Adequacy Letter Page j
We feel that at this time we could reclaim the Camp Bird Mine
to a ae~tisfactory condition for $25,000. Tt.ere are approximately
15 acre:a of the total 35 acres which will moat likely require
intense: reclamation. The two areas are shown on the enclosed
map. 13oth areas will be handled according to the proper authority
when reclamation begins.
Estimated Reclamation Costs
Removal. of buildings $7,000
Topsoil. Hauled from stockpiles
and spread $1.00/ton 5,000
Cat work to stabilize & grade areas
of intense reclamation 4,000
Fertilf.zer, aced and trees 6,000
Miscellaneous costs 3,000
Total 25,000 ~
It should be noted that these are only estimated costs at todays
prices. If the mine were shut down and the sircace facilities
are sold more money would be generated for the reclamation effort.
It is fruitless for us to speculate what the coats of reclamation
will be even 10 years into the future. The Absolute maximum
figure for a bond should not exceed $1500 per acre on the intensely
disturbed areas as that is the approximate condemnation price.
If you have any further questions concerning our operation please feel free to
contact either Jim Points or myself. Jim and I are planning on being at the
board meeting this next week.
~~~~~<<
G
Charles R. Ponchak
Cheif Geologist
