Dept. of Natural Resources
The following is the additional materiel requested by you in your letter
dated July 7, 19821
EXHIBIT C-MAP
1. Historic type activities to Remain undisturbed; See map color code
,,.
2. Areas of new disturbance: These areas have been color coded on
the enclosed map. The exact size of these areas is not known at this
time but: will be contained in the permit area.
3. Buildinf;s which will not be removed: See map for color coding.
EXHIBIT D - MINIPIG PLAN
1. Estimated portion of waste rock to be brought to the surface:
This is an impossible determination to make due to the very nature
of hard rock mining on vertical vein structures. Camp Bird
continually explores for new ore chutes. If a new reserve is found
which requires extensive development the additional waste material
may have to be brought to the surface. At present only track cleanup
and old raise timber will be brought to the surface, estimating lei.
This amount may change as time progresses.
>G\~ 2. Other chemicals used in the milling process: Only those chemicals
used in a normal flotation and gold circuit will be used all of
which are recycled in the milling process.
3. Topsoil stripping areas: See mep for color coding. The thickness of
topsoil is unknown. Past experience indicates that on high mountain
talus slopes the amount of topsoil should not be measured in inches
but ratherin percentages. We have areas of talus slopes which
ontitain 1~ topsoil and 9996 rock and other areas which have 85y6
topsoil and 1596 rock. Only when we begin to strip topsoil from a
particular area can we determine the amount of topsoil available.
All available topsoil will be stockpiled in the areas outlined
on the enclosed map.
~~,~' 4. Our present tailings_pnnd and the future pond design have been in-
% ~ spected by numerous Mine Safety and Health Inspectors and the
Colorado State mine inspectors and has been found to be stable and
constructed kGCe!<ddR$apbe engineering standards.
