EXHIBIT D
RECLAMATION PLAN
A. TOPSOIL PLACEMENT

All topsoil will be salvaged for use only in reclamation. The topsoil will be timely replaced as
mining continues. Since some of the existing land had little or no topsoil, additional depth of
topsoil material will be salvaged from the grassland to underlay the topsoil before it is spread on
the pit floor and slopes. It is anticipated sufficient topsoil will be available for an average cover
depth of six inches. This depth will be a significant improvement from the relatively bare existing
slopes.
B. SLOPE GRADIENTS
The reclaimed slopes will be placed to a minimum of 3:1. The remainder of the permit azea will be
returned to a level state as it was previous to the mining of the property. Material will be taken from
a ridge along the south side of the permit area and placed in the mined azea previous to topsoil
being replaced. The ridge area will be sloped to a minimum of 3:1.
C. REVEGETATION OF THE SITE
By salvaging, supplementing and placing all existing topsoil as described above, the new
vegetation on the slopes will be greater than the extent of cover of the existing vegetation on the
surrounding azeas. The reclaimed land will be planted to grass.
The seeding will be done upon completion of the project. The species to be seeded will be as
recommended by the Lincoln County NRCS and the recommendation is on the following pages.
Site will be chiseled and disked after top soil placement and prior to seeding.
Fertilizer will be used if soil conditions warrant the use.
Seed will be drilled. If broadcast, rate shall be doubled.
The seeded land will be mulched as needed. There will be no trees or shrubs planted on thi:
grassland reclamation. No ponds, streams, roads or buildings will remain after reclamation.
D. REMNANTS OF THE OPERATION.
The haul road will be reclaimed in the same manner as the mined land.
There will be no structwes placed or remaining on the property.
E. EQUIPMENT COSTS, CUSTOM OPERATOR RATES
Disk I8 acres total @ $15/ acre = $270.00
Drill grass seed 18 acres total @ $20/ acre = $360.00
Weed control (if necessary) 18 acres @ $6/acre= $108.00
Total Costs $738.00
