5. Since the before and after use of the land is range land, minimal change will resuh to the
hydrologic balance. No off-site damage will occur. The slopes and other general configuration of
the land will be more stable due to the elimination of existing erosion in the slopes which are now
steeper then 3:1.
Backslopes will be a minimum of 3:1, and topsoil covered. The resulting land which will retain
vegetation better than slopes which currently exist. Seeding those new slopes between the upper
and lower disturbed area will be with a designated mixture specified by the Lincoln County Natural
Resoarce Conservation District.
6. Sand processing will be accomplished on the permit site. Screening and washing operation will
require 8 acres.
7. Sand will excavated from an open face by a front end loader or dozer and transported by a
conveyor to a screening pant and sand screw for washing and sizing. Processed material will be
stockpiled with a stacking conveyor.
8. Two settling ponds will be constructed. The ponds will be 150 feet by 150 feet.
9. It is anticipated 94% of the material extracted will be removed from the property. The permit
area is actually larger then needed, but the extra property in the permit is to insure adequate mining
area in case the deposit is not as pure as anticipated, and to allow filling of the mining azea at
completion.
12. The mined azea will be filled with material from a ridge area included within the permit area on
the south side.
F. AREA OF SIGNIFICANT DISTURBANCE ' ,oo
`- . D
1.
