Box 701 <br />Loveland, Colorado 60531 <br />RE: Kauffman Pit <br />File 9101 78-327 <br />Dear Roger: <br />I believe our meeting was beneficial; it appears all the mayor problems <br />have been answered regarding the operation. Unless some unforeseen <br />problem arises I will present the application at the January 24-25, 1979 <br />Board meeting. <br />For your convenlance 1 have listed the points that need to be addressed <br />prior to presenting the application to the Board. <br />i) Resolve the questions raised by the Great Western Sugar Company. <br />2} Submit new maps which: <br />a} delineate the permit area <br />b) show the correct sequence of mining, including all lands to <br />be effected <br />c) a reclamation plan map which clearly demonstrates post-mining <br />land contours <br />3) submit an alternate reclamation plan for the land bordering the <br />county road <br />4) include sand dropseod (.51b/acre), alkali sacaton (2 ibs/acre) <br />into your grass seed mixture. Also Indicate that americen plum and <br />sumac will ba planted on the reclaimed land. <br />5) Submit a plan to address the concerns of the Water Division <br />1 will look forward to receiving the material within the next ten days.
