<br />Exhibit B <br /> <br />From the crest of the hill down the slope is mainly pinon trees and sagebrush. The <br />soil characteristics are of a cobbly loam or a fine sandy loam about 12 inches deep. <br />From the crest of the hill across the flat rangeland are mainly sagebrush and wheat <br />grasses. The soil characteristics are of topsoil consisting of an upper surface layer of <br />brown loam that is about 7 inches thick and a lower layer of reddish brown loam that <br />is about 3 inches thick. The upper part of the soil is reddish brown silty clay loam <br />about 9 inches thick, the next part is reddish brown silty clay loam about 15 inches <br />thick, and the lower part is light reddish brown loam about 14 inches thick. The <br />substratum is yellowish red loam that extends to a depth of 60 inches or more. <br />Manmade structures within 200 feet of the mining site consist of a 4 wire fence on <br />the crest of the hill, a spillway at the bottom of the hill to the east, and a pond to the <br />east side of the spillway which is fed by Church Hollow stream (shown in Exhibit E). <br />Church Hollow stream is stream that runs year round and is fed by spring water from <br />up the drainage. According to Colorado Division of Water Resources water quality <br />data is not available. The flow rate is approximately 1 c.f. and the elevation of the <br />ground water is at the bottom of the stream bed. <br />For pond information please see attached notice of intent to construct a non- <br />jurisdictional water impoundment structure. <br />
