'~~'~'

i ;.

0.]9 acre
feet water = t
2.25 inches water
0.79 x 80 = 6.65 acre feet water
This run-off will be diverted directly to the meadow.
DIVERSIONS:
overland flow from undisturbed areas draining into the meadow will be
diverted away from the disturbed area by means of temporary ditches, to mini-
mize erosion and to reduce the volume of water flowing into the sedimentation
pond. II
These diversion ditches will be constructed to safely pass the run-off
• from a ten year-24 hour storm event. ANNE BALDRIGE has supplied the BLUE FLAME
COAL COMPANY with the needed information to construct these diversions ~,as they
conform to'Division specifications. They call for a trapezoidal ditch design
that reduces water volocities. These recommendations will be followed. See
attached letter from ANNE BALDRIGE to PETER O'CONNOR.
i
The NPDES point source discharge permit has been applied fol'r. See
attached copy.
We request that upon completion, the Division inspect the diversion
ditches to evaluate what channel protection may be necessary.
The same design will be used in constructing the diversion ditches
into the sedimentation pond. See ANNE BALDRIGES' letter to PETER O`CONNOR.
•
