~v
•

III IIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
Gentlemen,
04-AUC-1988
1"his letter is to object the application of Harry Covey and his
intent t.o operate a mine at #479 County Road 83, located in Sunshine
Canyon. This mine is directly across County Road 83 from my property.
fly concerns lie with the care in which this mine will be operated,
the length of time it will be mined and the damage to the environment.
The major problem with the operation of this mine will be noise pollution,
water contamination, truck traffic, dust, explosives, and safety. Also of
concern will be what hours and days Mr Covey will be working the mine
and the number of employees and or helpers.
1'he mine is located in a residential neighborhood, the children
are now reaching an age of more independence and I have noticed within
the last. few years, their range of activities have broadened, "I am
concerned for their safety"
the problems with noise pollution is of concern because the
mine is located in a small canyon. Equipment noise levels are loud
and can be carried for some distance. Since my home (which I occupy)
is a legal business, of which 2 rooms are rented, causes me great concern
of the very real possibility of losing roommates over the noise issue.
The major reason we all move to the mountains is the peace, quiet,
contentment and serenity that mountain living provides for us all.

C,l ~ r, ti 1988
.."~~lt! ~:J ~: SII ~.
RE~LAA„g71i;~1 il'ti.r!:;11->f!
