Mined Land Reclamation Board
As you may recall, in early 1981 Terry L. Sadler and Danah G.
Sadler filed a lacosuit against the Colorado Mined Land
Reclamation Board regarding a permit issued by the board to
Oren R. Spillers. Lucius tidoods of this office originally
handled the case, and I took responsibility for it approxi-
mately one year ago when Lu left this office. There has
been no progress in this case during the last year. As a
result, the court has issued an order stating that the case
will be dismissed in 30 days. A copy of the order is attached.
Last week I spoke about this case with Kent E. Hanson, the
attorney for the plaintiffs. He indicated that the parties
had reached an out-of-court settlement. T expect that the
order will not be contested by the parties, and that this
matter now may be considered closed.
RAH/jl
cc: JalTice Burnett
Pa7>la Phillips
