Manus, Jr.
Planning Consultant
3776 Red Canon Place
Colorado Springs, Colorado 80904
Re: Leone Gardner Gravel - File no. M-85-008
Dear ~~~
Yesterday, I received your response to my adequacy letter of Feb 1, 1985
for the 110 application for the above captioned operation. In g neral, you
have answered all of my questions concerning the operation and reclamation
of this proposed gravel pit. However, there are still a few mat ers that
will need to be resolved before this matter can be considered by the Mined
Land Reclamation Board during the upcoming February 27-28, 1985 eting.
I will mention these briefly below.
First of all, I still need the proof of publication and the pro
a` fication to all adjacent landowners (as well as the landowners
Q area itself) as soon as these items are available. These items
received before the Board can consider the permit application.
~~ to receive them in the near future.
Second, I realize that it may take a while before the Division o
can give your client an evaluation of the proposed permit area.
I propose two options to you to resolve this matter. First, if
tion does not arrive before the scheduled meeting date, you may
request a continuance of Board consideration of the application
March 27-28, 1985 Board meeting (by which time the evaluation sh
completed). Second, given the same lack of this evaluation by n
Board meeting, your client may wish to agree to the following st
to the permit that I will be prepared to recommend to the Board:
operator will submit the Colorado Division of Wildlife evaluati
permit area as soon as it is available and agrees to incorporat
all mitigative measures suggested in that evaluation into the a
permit application." If the evaluation is not available, I will
to recommend approval of the permit application only with that ~
Please inform me as to your client's wishes in this matter.
As always, I appreciate all of your cooperation in this matter.)
Sincerely,
of noti-
the permit
st be
will expect
' Wildlife
Therefore,
he evalua-
imply
ntil the
uld be
xt week's
pulation
"The
of the
any and
roved
be prepared
ipulation.
Mark S.
