The a proaches
taken by the company to evaluate and set standards for species diver~ity
• and shrub density I feel to be logical and sound. I would like to rlestate
your proposals and make several minor suggestions in order to clariEly the
standards and criteria. f
Species Diversity
Wyoming Fuel Company will establish a reclaimed vegetative communitywith
a minimum of six (6) principal species, of which three (3) will be cool
season grasses, tcao (2) will be shrubs, and one will~be a forb. Additionally,
within the post-mining community cool season grasses will contYdbute7-35%
of the total diversity, shrubs will account for 10-27% of total' diversity,
half-shrubs will comprise 1-15% of_ total diversity, and (orbs will contribute
1-5% to the total diversity. II
Tiie.Division feels that this is an acceptable standard, with the fo:
clarif ications.

423 Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street
Denver.
