"Buck" Barnhart <br />3 Sedum Court <br />Pueblo, Colorado 81001 <br />RE: Our File N8I-276; Craig Contracting Corporation; <br />Rertzog Pit. <br />Dear Mr. Barnhart: <br />I have reviewed the above application for adequacy and have the following <br />questions, comments, and suggestions which are intended to aid you in <br />bringing this application into full compliance with the law and to the <br />satisfaction of the hfined Land Reclamation Board. Please address each of <br />the following items in detail. <br />1. Please give the legal description, under Exhibit n, to the <br />nearest quarter, quarter section. <br />2. The Staff recommends that all stockpiled topsoil which will <br />remain undisturbed for more than one yzowing season be stabilized with <br />a suitable cover of vegetation, in order to minimize deterioration cf <br />the stockpile(s). <br />3. Exhibit C indicates that power poles and telephone poles <br />intersect the property. Be advised that prior to Board approval, a <br />written agreement must be obtained by the operator from all entities <br />having an interest in a permanent manmade structure located within <br />200 feet of the operation (permit boundary), per Rule 1.56 (e) in the <br />Rules and Regulations. <br />9. Seedbed preparation, planting, seed, and fertilizer costs <br />must be included in the costs for major and moderate disturbance. <br />Please submit revised costs which reflect the activities. <br />S. The Mined Land Reclamation Board will consider this application <br />at the February 29-25, 1382 Board meeting.
