ROLD
Director
This 9.95-acre tract lies in the NW/4 sec. 19, T6N, R67W, on gravel deposits
designated as "F1" on the CGS gravel resources map of the Windsor quadrangle.
Our well logs indicate 9 to 14 ft of sand and gravel in this stretch of the
river. The thinness of the deposit, the very small mineable acreage (between
5 and 6 acres), and the relatively short life of the operation will contribute
minimal impacts to the surrounding area. The phased mining and reclamation
plans are quite adequate and attainable. I see no serious geologic problems
involved with the proposed operation.
Sincerely,
.,
~~y-~c:L -~.
SDSJgp
cc: Land Use Commission
~~-..'Y. !„C-LLB
Stephen D.
