Permit application was received August 2, 1994 and was deemed complete (ready for <br />technical review) on October 20, 1994. <br />2. The site was inspected November 18, 1994. <br />3. A technical review was completed on November 25, 1994 and an adequacy letter was <br />sent to the operator the same date. <br />4. Minor revisions of the application were necessary to meet the requirements of the Act <br />and Rules. <br />5. The Division received the minor revisions from the operator on December 12, 1994. <br />6. The application notice was published in the Valley Courier (an Alamosa newspaper) on <br />October 21, 26 and November 1 and 8, as n:quired. The 20-day comment period <br />expired at 4:00 p.m. on November 28, 1994. <br />7. The Division received an objection to the application by fax at 4:21 p.m. from <br />Charles A. Grant (Alamosa, Colorado). Mr. Grant submitted a typed copy of the <br />objection to the Division on December 1, 1994. <br />A. Mr. Grant objects to the application on the grounds that: <br />a) He does not want any activity or operation within the Deer Valley Meadows <br />subdivision that is not explicitly residential since he owns 160 lots in the <br />subdivision. <br />b) Mr. Grant says the mining activity will ruin the value of the land he owns. <br />rof: \oss\alwV p <br />
