A technical review was completed on November 25, 1994 and an adequacy letter was
sent to the operator the same date.
4. Minor revisions of the application were necessary to meet the requirements of the Act
and Rules.
5. The Division received the minor revisions from the operator on December 12, 1994.
6. The application notice was published in the Valley Courier (an Alamosa newspaper) on
October 21, 26 and November 1 and 8, as n:quired. The 20-day comment period
expired at 4:00 p.m. on November 28, 1994.
7. The Division received an objection to the application by fax at 4:21 p.m. from
Charles A. Grant (Alamosa, Colorado). Mr. Grant submitted a typed copy of the
objection to the Division on December 1, 1994.
A. Mr. Grant objects to the application on the grounds that:
a) He does not want any activity or operation within the Deer Valley Meadows
subdivision that is not explicitly residential since he owns 160 lots in the
subdivision.
b) Mr. Grant says the mining activity will ruin the value of the land he owns.
rof: \oss\alwV p
