Mica White
Exhibit B
Site Description
Mining Pit
The mine site is located East of Howard, and North of
Colorado State Highway 50. The mine site is surrounded by
rangeland. There are no man made structures around the site
or within the 200 foot boundary of the site. There are no
utilities within the area. The mine site lies directly east
of an intermittent stream, Alkili Gulch, but it will not
recieve drainage directly from the affected area. There is
no salvagable vegetation on site. There is no topsoil on the
mine site, it lies on a ridge with a slope of 1:1 on one
side, and a slope of 1.5:1 on the other side.
FOR VEGETATION AND SOILS CLASSIFICATION SEE ATTACHED MAP AND
LITERATURE!
Processing and Stockpile area
This area will be located at an old millsite that has been
previously used and disturbed. The terrain is disturbed with
foundations, and it has no ridges, it is flat, making it a
good area for stockpiling and processing. We feel that the
use of the old millsite will benefit the area because it will
reclaim a previously disturbed site, instead ,of disturbing a
natural site.
