1 ~ <br />General Characteristics <br />The present building boom in the front range corridor has <br />caused an increased demand for mineral deposits. Population <br />growth in Weld County and the front range area in general is <br />exceeded by few other areas in the country. The Greeley West <br /> site is a former agricultural area located in the floodplain of <br />' the Cache La Poudre River. Previous agricult ural uses have <br /> been in the form of crop cultivation and past ure land.
