EXHIBIT A -LEGAL DESCRIPTION <br />The affected area (proposed gravel pit) lies in a 9.96 acre area (two <br />strips:l)200'X1550' 2) 200' X 500' with a 30'X800' connecting road) in the South half <br />of the Northwest quarter of Section 7, Township 32 South, Range 61 West and extending <br />into the Southeast quarter of the Northeast quarter of Section 12, Township 32 South, <br />Range 62 West, of the Sixth Principal Meridian, Las Animas County ,Colorado. See <br />enclosed Location Map and Mining Plan Map. <br />The Site is 15 miles northeast of Trinidad, Colorado and approximately 2 miles <br />due south of the Colorado State Penitentiary. <br />
