= 67.2 ~). Thus, the sampling indicates that the vegetation
presently meets all requirements that are part of the approved
species diversity standard.
CONCLUSIONS -
Vegetation at the reclaimed Bear Mine 1 and 2 sites was
•
•
sampled. Perennial, non-noxious herbaceous cover and
production were measured at 37.7 % and 1603 pounds per acre.
Success standards are listed on pages 50 and 51 of the 1987
Bear Mines 1,2 and 3 Findings Document. The measured values
exceed either the approved parameter standard or 90 0 of it as
required by Rules 4.15.8(3)(a) and 4.15.8(4). The terms of
the approved species diversity standard are also met as
indicated by the multiple-hit cover data. Because no woody
stem density standard applies to either site, the vegetation
as indicated by the data presently would be found to be
successful for the purposes of determining whether final bond
release could be carried out by the Division.
9
