Species Diversity:
Species diversity was determined from cover data. During
cover sampling, all herbaceous vegetation hits (first, second,
third...) were recorded for use in calculating relative
species cover upon which the species diversity standard was
based and was to be judged.
• Species Identification:
Voucher specimens were collected. These specimens were
confirmed or identified by William Weber, retired Curator of
the University of Colorado herbarium.
