TCC's experience has <br />• shown that, except for areas where there are cliffs or significant outcrops, undermining and subsidin~these areas does <br />not result in any surface disturbance, therefore, no surveys aze required for these areas. ~. <br />NW Mains Ventilation Shaft and Thickener Underllow Project (TROT-39) <br />TCC contracted with Metcalf Archaeological Consultants, Inc. to complete a cultural resources survey of two potential <br />shaft sites for the new NW Mains ventilation shaft, along with the associated access roads and powerline, located in <br />sections 16, 17, 20, and 21, TSN, R86W. The only cultural or historical site encountered was a previously recorded <br />historic irrigation ditch (Site SRT921). The site was determined as not eligible for the National Register and no <br />further archaeological work was recommended. Survey results are presented in the Confidential Appendix, in Exhibit <br />6M, NW Mains Ventilation Shaft - Cultwal Resources Survey. <br />NORTHERN MINING DISTRICT (NNID) (PR 03-06) <br />No new surface facilities are planned for the Northern Mining District. In reference to the SW/4 of section 3, S/2 of <br />section 4,1J2 of section 7, section 8, section 9, section 10, N/2N/2 of section 16, and the N/2 of section 17 all in TSN, <br />R86W the survey was not required due to the fact that there will be no surface disturbance which would cause any <br />sites to the disturbed. TCC's experience has shown that, except for azeas where there are cliffs or significant outcrops, <br />undermining and subsiding these areas does not result in any surface disturbance, therefore, no surveys are required <br />for these areas. <br />RULE 2.04.5 -GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF HYDROLOGY AND GEOLOGY <br />• (I) Each application shall contain a description and maP.
