,., ;. <br /> <br />?ffNED LAND WILDLIFE STATEMENT/EVALUATION (Revised) <br />for limited impact and select regular mine applications <br />The following in::ormation pertaining to wildlife is provided for use by Hined land <br />Reclamation Board in their consideration. of a mining permit for: <br />and Location of Hine <br />Wildlife Species list: <br />See enclosed species list. <br />Note: Recognizirg the significant amounts of environmental damage that has already <br />occured, the wildlife species list cites those species which may have occupied <br />those areas in the past and no longer occur there. <br />Endangered/critical species/impacted: <br />(Done impacted. <br />Those threatened or endangered species indicated occur only in overall distribution <br />and should not be considered to frequent the area. <br />Gulch <br />Critical habitats/vegetative communities impacted: <br />No critical habitats impacted. Area of impact is at approximately 8,200 feet elevation, <br />demonstrating prejominantly northeast facing aspect. Vegetative community impacted <br />will be some lodgepole, Douglas Fir with interspersed mountain mahogany on south <br />' facing slopes. <br />Assessment of impact: <br />Little impact should be felt on the area given the limited scone of surface disturbance. <br />Area already heav~~ly disturbed with limited wildlife use at this time. <br />Hire Reclamation :reco:mnendations (include key species/habitats for which restoration <br />is designed). <br />Although numerous small ma:~cnals and bird species inhabit the area, the only large game <br />species utilizing the area are mule deer. No fisheries potential exists in Russell <br />Gulch itself.
