J

EXHIBIT E
Reclamation Plan

Because this pit is entirely within the channel of au intermittent stream,
no reclamation of the pit floor will be necessary. During periods of high
runoff, sand and gravel from upstream will be washed into the depressions
caused by mining and restore it to its present condition.
Most of the mining will be performed in mid channel but it if is necessary
at any time to excavate into a stream bank, the cut will be left with a
slope not to exceed 2;1.
All operations will be limited to the confines of the affected area and the
designated haul road.
After mining is completed the affected area especially the plant and stock-
pile area and the designated haul road will be fertilized, scarified, seeded
and mulched above high coater line.
All unsightly things such as large rocks, roots or other debris will be
buried or hauled away.
Timetable of Operation
1 day - soil preparation (grading, scarifying)
1 day - fertilizing, seeding and mulching
Total time - 2 days
Before final stages of reclamation begin, the District Materials Engineer or
a designated representative must approve final grading, scarifying or contour-
ing before reclamation can be accepted.
The following seeding, fertilizing and mulching specifications are to be re-
quired within the affected area and the designated haul road.
Note: If in the distant future, when this pit site is reclaimed,
a better and more acceptable seed mixture is developed then it
may be used in place of the following with ttie concurrence of the
MLRB.
•
