They <br />wish to know how to best reclaim their mining operation. Present range is in <br />poor condition. <br />SUGGESTED SOLUTION(S)If mining activity is limited to channel bottom no reclam- <br />ation work is needed there. The bottom is presently all sand and gravel with no <br />vegeta*.ion present. The pit caused by miring activities ~+?11 ouickl.y fill with <br />sand if left alone. <br />If mining activity is moved to banks, the pit sides should be sloped and <br />j0 to 40 tcns of m,-nure spread on the sides. ::riy dirt or waste piles should oe <br />leveled out and manure spread on it also. These areas should then be seeded wmth <br />a grass seeding mixture composed of: <br />Side oats grama -Vaughn - 3.0 lbs. of pure live seed (FLS) per acre <br />[2eedle and thread - 1\ative-5.Q lbs of FLS per acre <br />Little Bluestein - Fastura -2.5 lbs. of FLS per acre <br />.
