Soils Information <br />Ezhibit I <br />Soils at the site appeaz to be as represented on the current NRCS map. The soil types for the <br />permit aze listed below. They aze also shown on Map C-1. <br />Soil Identiticatio Soil Description <br />65 Torrifluvents This broadly defined unit consists of deep, well drained to somewhat <br />poorly drained, neazly level soils on flood plains adjacent to to <br />Colorado and Roarinf Fork Rivers and their major tributaries. Slope <br />is 0 to 6 percent. The soils formed in alluvium. <br />These soils aze stratified and vary widely in texture and depth. The <br />surface layer ranges from loamy sand to fine sandy loam to silty loam <br />to clay loam. The underlying layers aze generally sandly loam or loam <br />stratified with sand, gravel, and cobbles. In some azeas gravl and <br />cobbles aze on or neaz the surface. <br />40 Kim Loam This deep well drained, gently sloping soil is on alluvial fans and <br />benches. Elevation ranges from 5,000 to 6,000 feet. This soil formed <br />in alluvium derived from shale an sandstone. The average annual <br />precipitation is about 12 inches, the average annual ait temperature is <br />about 46 degrees F, and the average frost-free period is about 125 <br />days. <br />Typically, the surface layer is yellowish brown or light yellowish <br />brown loam about 17 inches thich. The underlying material is light <br />brownish gray loam to a depth of 60 inches. In places the underlying <br />material is stratified with fine sandy loam. <br />5/26/2005 Page I-I <br />
