This property is located about a <br />quarter mile east of the United Chambers Pit, east of Rifle on the old highway. The plan <br />is to purchase this property from the Chambers family once the permits are in place. <br />United intends to use the railroad crossing to Ken Chamber's house for access to Hwy. 6. <br />United is in contact with both the railroad and CDOT to plan for this new pit entrance. <br />United has delivered complete copies of this application to the City of Rifle, Garfield <br />County Clerk, and Garfield County Planning Department.
