EXHIBIT D - Mining Plan
(a) Gravel will be removed from the intermittent stream bed with a
front end loader and hauled via dump truck to the plant
headquarters in Akron, Colorado. Gravel may also be removed
from the bank areas in the same manner.
(b) If the bank areas are disturbed, topsoil from the bank will be
salvaged for a depth of 6"/12" and stockpiled until used in
reclamation. No other earthmoving will occur, except actual
gravel removal as described in (a).
(c) none
(d) Disturbance to the permitted area will occur in approximate
one (1) acre segments.
(e) Gravel will be removed from the bed of the stream first. Hank
disturbance may occur in the late stages of the life of the
mine if bed deposits are depleted. Early phase mining is
planned to occur on the south side of the highway (upstream
end). Due to consequences of high flow periods, operations
may move about the permitted area as gravel deposits dictate.
Work will occur in approximate one (1) acre segments. The
mining timetable for this permit should span at least 20 years.
(f) See Exhibit C (h) - Soils Map. The Surveyor Creek
intermittent drainageway consists of fine and gravelly sandy
loam. It is formed in alluvium from mixed reworked sandy and
loamy material. The depth of deposits range from 0" to 60".
The substratum is a stratified loamy sand and sandy loam.
