• III IIIIIIIIIIIIIIII •
999
Mr. Thomas A. Schreiner 14 June 2001
Environmental Protection Specialist
Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology
1313 Sherman Street, Room 213
Denver. CO 80203
Re: Comment Letter from Camilletti and Sons, Inc. Regazding the Mining of Lands
Adjacent to the Designated Wetlands and Riparian Vegetation Found on the Proposed
Camilletti Milner Pit # 2 Site -File No. M - 2001-023.
Deaz Mr. Schreiner:
This letter is being written according to the verbal instructions you gave me, Mr. Kent Crofrs and
Mr. Paul Currier, during a site inspection visit you made to the proposed mine disturbance azea
on the morning of 1 June 2001. During that meeting you suggested that I submit a letter as the
landowner of the proposed gravel pit site, stating that Camilletti and Sons, Inc., as the landowner,
has no objections to the proposed mining scheme contained on the revised Mine Plan Map,
which shows the setbacks required by the Routt County Special Use Permit, which mandates that
setbacks of 50 feet from wetlands outside of the mining azea, 100 feet from all Narrowleaf
Cottonwood trees and willows as shown on the enclosed map. We feel that with the mitigation
measures involving groundwater monitoring, irrigation of the wetlands and riparian vegetation
along with the proposed vegetation monitoring program these azeas will be more than adequately
protected.
Sincerely,
`V °~ ~~~.
Frank H. Camilletti
President
Camilletti and Sons, Inc.
P.O. Box 45
Milner, CO 80487
