•
WILDLIFE STATE`tENT FOR MINE PERMIT APPLICATION
1. Mine Company
Greeley Sand and Gravel
2. Mine Type and Location
.Gravel pit immediately northwest of Greeley
Open pit - Wet
3. Duration of Operation
35 Years
4. Total Area Disturbed
368.966 acres (in 9 increments)
5. Wildlife Species List
Attached --
6. Endangered Species Impacted
None
7. Assessment of Pfining Impact on Wildlife
The impacts on wildlife are rather minimal. This area is already
partly worked and [here are other gravel operations adjoining and
heavy grazing and farming on unmined lands. Therefore, very little
wildlife is present.
In all probability, the wildlife habitat will be better after
the reclamation is completed than it was before the mining started.
8. Proposed Mitigation Measures Including Reclamation for Wildlife Habitat
The reclamation plans indicate the wildlife habitat will be
improved, both from a fisheries and terrestrial wildlife viewpoint.
Prepared by Don Bogart ~ Title. Wildlife Biologist
Date April 19, 1977
