Bankard soils aze on flood plains and (ow terraces and have scopes of 0 to 6 percent. The mean annual precipitation
is about 14 to 17 inches and the mean annual temperature is about 48 degrees F.
TAXONOMIC CLASS: Sandy, mixed, mesic Ustic Torrifluvents
TYPICAL PEDON: Bankazd loamy sand - gassland. (Colors are for dry soil unless otherwise stated.)
A--O to 5 inches; light brownish gray (2.SY 6/2) loamy sand, gayish brown (2.SY 5/2) moist; weak fine ganulaz structure;
soft, very friable; slightly effervescent; moderately alkaline (pH. 8.0); clear smooth boundary.
