GENERAL OVERVIEW <br />The proposed Ashbaugh Gravel Pit is located on WCR 115 approximately %x mile north of WCR 80. This <br />location is approximately 10 miles southwest of New Raymer in northeast Weld County. Legal description: <br />Section 15, Township 7 North, Range 59 West of the 6'" PM, Weld County, Colorado <br />Weld County will use this additional resource to obtain gravel for use in the immediate quadrant of county <br />roads to eliminate long hauling distances. This procedures establishes intermittent use of the pit. The mining <br />plan is to haul material for use on the county road system as the need arises. Normally, most of the material <br />excavated and crushed will be removed from the site. Some stockpiled material will remain for future use. <br />Operating equipment will consist of portable crusher, front end loader, dozer, excavator or scraper, and haul <br />trucks. <br />The topsoil will be removed and stockpiled to be used in reclamation. The depth of the topsoil is minimal. As <br />mined areas are completed, reclamation will begin. The site will be returned to pastureland; any sloped areas <br />will be a minimum of 3 : 1. <br />M::\MiningWshbaugh-general overview.doc <br />
