,_ -,
(3b cont'd) we feel this material is marketable as struc-
tural fill and the pile should be depleted about the time
phase II will be initiated. Finally we expect to produce in
excess of SO,000 yards of sand over a period of three or four
years. Typically this is dug with a dragline 10,000 yards at
a time and is hauled as soon as it is drained. We think you
will find that dewaterinq is totally impractical due to the
proximity of the river, the depth pf the deposit and the high
permeability of the relatively coarse sends, We feel that the
location of the stockpiles is necessary to separate the
products end for their ease of loading and hauling.
(c) In Phase I approximately 1600 sq. yds. is all that will
have to be topsoiled and revegetated. Phases II and III will
be somewhat less and the final Phase is comparable to the
first. Ripping will be minimal due to the sandy nature of
the materiel. i1
('
<d) In he unlikely event that ovQrburden is not marketa-
ble, it c n be shaped and revegetated in place or returned to
the depl tad pit.
(4) The letter from Tom Kroening of the Department of Wildlife,
was faxed to you May 23, 1495.
(6) In respo~tise to the lett~~~~f rom Mr. BOgart Of the DOW, it waG
not our intent to reclaim to~Wildlife Habitat.~In our request.for
e special use permit for County Zoning, we elected to use Pond
and Rangeland end this is still our preference at this time. - ~
One copy of ii.is letter wilt oe placed in the office of the
Morgan County Clerk & Recorder per instructions •lonq with copies
of the MAP EXHIBITS E.
Thank you for your time On th19 matter.
`/ours Truly,
r
7
im F.
