6YDROLOGIC MONITOR WELLS
The completion method for the 14 bedrock monitor wells is shown
on the attached diagrams. All hydrologic monitor wells were
completed by essentially the same methods:
1) Placement of required well screen and PVC well casing.
2) Gravel packed with 3/8" washed pea gravel
3) Well cemented from surface to 5 feet deep.
4) Locked steel surface casing or 1 1/2' x 1 1/2' x 1 1/2'
steel shelter mounted on the 8" steel surface casing,
locked.
Wells completed to target multiple potential aquifers were
completed with additional strings of well casing in the hole.
Bentonite pellets were used to pack around well casing and
separate the potential aquifers. The attached completion
diagrams (Appendix II) demonstrate in more detail the completion
of each of the hydrologic monitor wells.
