Since the U.S. Corps of Engineers now requires a permit to remove material <br />from drainages, you will probably need a CDE permit. What is the status of <br />this permit? <br />RESPONSE: The Corps of Engineers permit has been applied for. <br />2. The Division of Wildlife has reccumiended that tress present not be removed. <br />The applicant should conmit to leaving any trees present. <br />RESPONSE: The «nxnty will commit to leaving existing trees in place. <br />3. The Haxt.~u~ Soil Conservation District recomrends that a good topsoil or loam <br />be placed on the 3H-IV slopes. What is the soturoe of this topsoil? <br />RESPONSE: If banks were disturbed, the topsoil wcnild be stripped and <br />stockpiled prior to mining. The axuity, at this time, does not foresee that <br />the operation will dist.~irb cheek banl~. <br />4. The 1" to 100' map provided shcnild have the proposed permit boundary clearly <br />marked and labeled. <br />RESPONSE: A nap with more clearly defined bcu~ndaries is enclosed. <br />5. The proposed permit boundary extend upstream to County Road 3. Please <br />describe measiues which will be taken to protect this mad from head sitting <br />upstream from the pit.
