<br />Spiranthes diluvialis Survey Report <br />County Line Reservoir Project <br />Weld County, Colorado <br />August 21, 2000 <br />I! <br />Introduction <br />On August 10, 2000, Denise Larson, an ecologist with ERO Resources Corporation, <br />performed a survey for the federally-listed threatened orchid, Ute ladies'-tresses <br />(Spiranthes diluvialis). This survey is necessary because the proposed project activities <br />will potentially affect azeas considered to be wetlands regulated under the Clean Water <br />Act, and because the project occurs below 6,500 feet in elevation and within the 100-year <br />flood plain of a tributary of the South Platte River in Colorado. <br />This survey report follows the U.S Fish and Wildlife Service's November 23, 1992 <br />interim survey requirements for Spiranthes diluvialis. The following items aze included <br />in this report- <br />1. Name(s) and qualifications of surveyor(s). <br />2. Site location map. <br />3. Photographs of the site. <br />4. Completed data sheets for sites surveyed. <br />5. Location of sites surveyed on USGS topographic maps. <br />The proposed project involves a proposed gravel mine operation on portions of the <br />site. <br />Project Location <br />The project area is within Section 31 and the southern half of Section 30, T2N, R68W <br />in Weld County, Colorado (Figure 1).
