EXHIBIT G -WATER INFORMATION
(a) Locate on the map (Exhibit C) tributary watercourses, wells, springs, stock water ponds,
reservoirs and ditches
This operation is expected to directly affect surface water systems. Please see Exhibit C for
location of the:
Big Thompson River
Irrigation ditch laterals
(b) Identify all known aquifers
The Big Thompson alluvial aquifer is under this property.
(c) Show how water from dewatering operations or runoff from disturbed areas, piled material
and operating surfaces will be managed to protect against pollution of either surface or
groundwater both during and after the operation
Water from the initial dewatering operation and runoff from disturbed areas, piled material
and operating surfaces will likely be diverted to settling ponds for detention and cleansing.
The resulting outfall will flow into the Big Thompson River pursuant to a Colorado
Department of Public Health and Environment dschage (CDPS) permit.
(d) Estimate project water requirements including flow rates and annual volumes for the
development, mining and reclamation phases of the project.
Please refer to the attached tables for projected water requirements. Hall-Irwin has submitted
an application for a Temporary Substitute Supply Plan (TSSP) for submittal to the Office of
the State Engineer. We will forward a copy of this plan to the DMG upon request.
(e) Indicate the projected amounts of the water sources to supply project water requirements
Please refer to Table 1 for a chart of projected evaporative and operational water
requirements. The operator will use groundwater to supply operational water requirements.
It is anticipated that Beeline and Big Thompson and South Platte Ditch water will be used to
supply reclamation requirements. (This information is included with the tssp.)
(~ Affirmatively state that the Applicant has acquired or applied for a National Pollutant
Discharge Elimination System permit from the Water Quality Control Division
Hall-Irwin will apply for a CDPS permit prior to mining or dewatering the site.
Hall-Irwin Cotpora[ion Bernhardt Resource Page 25 of 41
MLRB 112 Pemut Application .
