A small area located at the southwest corner of the Fast Ioadout as shown
on Map 13, IAadout Area SZrrface aryl Grau~dwater Hydrology, does not drain
t0 the PYletim c[~rl;marrh porn. Runoff fI~ this area drains south east
under the railway tracks with the rail ballast apparently acting as a
french drain. To prevent runoff frtan this area fr+~n degrading downstream
waters EFCI will construct a sediment fence to capture aryl filter all
runoff. Zhe fence is designed to safely pass the runoff frran a 10-year,
24-hour event.
Given that the subject area is small, runoff and ~„~.,t will be
effectively wntrolled by the designed ScxL~*+t fence, and there is no
discharge in this area frcan wriergrotmd workings, EF'CT respectfully
requests approval of a Small Area F7remption for the sediment trap.
