OAK POND N0.2
OutOow Design
Methodology and Practice
1. Outflow design is based on the methodology described in Applied Hydrology and
Sedimentology jot Disturbed Areas, Barfield, Warner, Haan, 1981 pp 185-198
2. The design was based on the predicted flow resulting forma 25-year, 24-hour event. The
minimum safety factor of I.11 for the channel bottom is deemed adequate.
3. The channel will be trapemidal with approximate sideslopes of 3H:1V.
4. The filter blanket will be constructed with 1" x 0" road base material.
5. Construction considerations:
Rip Rap D50 - As designed
Thickness - 1.5 (D50)
Filter 1" x 0" road base
Filter Thickness - 0.5 (rip-rap thickness)
6. Channel dimensions as shown on design page.
• T~ R-~7 _
I ` REVISION APPROVED j,
IIDATE ~~30%9~ ;~
!~
