For maximum <br />control of existing vegetation, delay planting [o determine if any regrowth from <br />escaped underground plant parts occurs. Where existing vegetanon rs growing <br />under mowed mrfgmss management, apply this product after omitting at least <br />one [egular mowing to allow sufficient growth for good inureeption of the spiny. <br />Where repeat treatments are' necessary, sufficient regrowth must be attained prior <br />m application. For warm-season grosses, such as Bermudagrass, summer or fall <br />applications provide best conVOl. Broadcast equipment may be used to control <br />sod remnants or other unwanted vegemtion after sod is harvested. <br />PRECAUT10N5, RESTRICTIONS: Do not disturb soil or underground plant <br />parts before treatment Tillage or renovation techniques such as vertical mowing, <br />coring or slicing should be delayed far 7 days after application m allow proper <br />translocation into underground plant parts. Applications may be made ro [he same area at <br />30-day murvak. <br />PRECAUTIONS, RESTRICTONS: For spot treatments or wiper application <br />methods using rotes of 3 quarts per acre or less, the entire field or any por- <br />tion of it may be treated. When spot treabnrnts or wiper application rare made <br />using rotes above 3 quarts per acre, no more than f0 pereent of [he m[al pasmre <br />may be treated at any one time. To achieve maximum pcrtormance, remove <br />domestic livestock before application and wait 1 days after application before <br />grazing Iivesmck or harvesting. <br />Postemergent Weed Contro) (Broadcast Treatments) <br />USE INSTRUCTIONS: This product may be used m suppress competitive growth <br />and seed production of annual weeds and undesirable vegetation in pastures. For <br />selective applications with broadcast spiny equipment, apply 12 to 16 fluid ounces <br />of this product per acre in early spring before desirable perennial grasses break <br />dormancy and inidau green growth. Late fall applications can be made after <br />desirable perennial grosses have reached dormancy. <br />PRECAUTIONS, RESTRICTIONS: Some stunting of perennial grasses will occur <br />if broadcast applications are made when plants are not dormant. No waiting period <br />is inquired between application and grazing or harvesting for Seed. Use of higher <br />application rotes will cause stand reductions. Do not apply more than 3 quarts <br />per acre per year onto pasmre grasses except for innovation uses (see imwctions <br />above). if replanting is needed due to seven smnd reduction, applications must <br />be made at ]east 30 days prior to planting any crop not listed for treanncnt in this <br />Shielded Sprayers <br />USE INSTRUCTIONS: Apply 1 to 3 quarts of this product in ]0 to 20 gallons <br />of waur per acre to control weeds between grass seed rows. Uniform planting <br />in straight rows aid in shielded sprayer applications. Best results are obained <br />whrn [he gross seed trop is small enough to easily pass by the protective shields. <br />For additions] inswetions, see "Shielded Applicators" ¢t the ''APPLICATION <br />EQUB'MENT AND TECHNIQUES" section of this product's label booklet <br />PRECAUTIONS, RESTRICTIONS: Contact of this product in any manner to any <br />vegemtion to which Vestment is not intended may cause damage. Such damage <br />shall be the sole responsibility of the applicator. <br />Wiper Appgcations Over-the-Top <br />USE INSTRUCTIONS: Applicators should be adjusud so that the wiper contact <br />point is at least 2 inches above the deshable vegetaton. Weeds should be a <br />minimum of 6 inches above the desirable vegemtion. Betur results may be <br />tamed when more of the weed is exposed to the herbicide solution. Weeds <br />concocted by the herbicide solution anll not be affecud. This may otNl N <br />rase clumps, seven infestations, or whrn height of weeds varies so that not <br />all weeds are conmcud. In these instances, repeat treatments may be necessary. <br />Far additional instmctions, see "Wiper Applicators" in the "APPLICATION <br />EQUB'MEN7 AND TECHNIQUES" section of this product's label booklet. <br />PRECAUTIONS, RESTRICTIONS: Contact of the herbicide solution with duir- <br />able vegetation may result in damage or deswction. <br />Spot Treatments <br />USE INSTRUCTIONS: Use a LO-m 2.0-pement solution. <br />PRECAUTIONS, RESTRICTIONS: Apply this product prior to heading of grasses <br />grown for seed. The crop receiving [he spiny in the seated area will be killed. <br />Take care [o avoid drift or spiny outside the target area for the same reason. <br />Hand-held equipment may be used to control sod remnants or other unwanud <br />vegetation after sod is harvested. <br />Creating Rows in Annual Ryegrass <br />USE INSTRUCTTONS: Use 1 to 2 pints of this product per acre. Use the higher <br />rote when the ryegmss is greaur than 6 inches tall. Best results are obtained when <br />applcations are made before the ryegmss reaches 6 inches in height. <br />PRECAlTIONS, RESTRICTIONS: Set nozzle heights to allow the esmblishment <br />of the desired row spacing while preventing spray droplets, spay fines, or drift <br />to concoct the ryegmss plants not treated. Use of low-pressure nozzles, or drop <br />nozzles designed to target the application over a narrow band are recommended. <br />Grower assumes sIl responsibility for crop losses from misapplication. <br />10A Pastures <br />LABELED CROPS: Any gass (Gramineee family) except Com, Sorghum, Sug- <br />arcane and those listed in [his product's Zabel booklet under "Cereal and Gain <br />Crops". Gasses [hat may be treated include Bahiagass, Bermudagass, Blue- <br />gass, Bromq Fescue, Guineagrass, Kikuyugass, Orchardgass, Pangola gross, <br />Ryegrass, Timothy, Wheatgass. <br />TYPES OF APPLICATIONS: Preplan[, Preemergcnce, Spot Treatment, Over- <br />the-Tap Wiper Applications, Pasture Renovation, Postemergem Weed Control <br />(Broadcast Treatments). <br />Preplant, Preemergence, Pasture Renovation <br />USE INSTRUCTIONS: This product may be applied prior m planting or emer- <br />nce of foage gasses. In addition, this product may be used to control perennial <br />tore species listed on this label prior to replanting. <br />AUTIONS, RESTRICTIONS: If application rams toml 3 quarts per acre <br />or less, no waiting period between treatment and feeding or livestock gazing is <br />required: If the rote a greater than 3 quarts per acre, remove domestic hvestock <br />before application and wait 8 weeks after apphcation before gazing or harvesting. <br />Crops listed for Vestment in this label booklet may be planted inn the treated <br />area at any time; for other crops, wait 30 days between application and planting. <br />Database and format copyright ©bp VPC Acq uistnon Corporation. <br />pmoucr s moo vwn,c~ <br />105 Rangelands <br />TYPES OF APPLICATIONS: Posumergence. <br />This product will control or suppress many annual weeds growing in perennial <br />cool and wane-season gross rangelands. <br />Pinventing viable seed production ta key to the successful conuol and invasion <br />of annual grassy weeds in rangelands. Follow-up applications in sequential years <br />should eliminau mast of the viable seeds. <br />Grazing of treated areas should be delayed m encourage growth of desirable <br />perennials. Allowing desirable perennials m flower and reseed to the [roared area <br />will encourage successful [ransinon. <br />USE INSTRUCTIONS: Apply 12 m 16 fluid ounces of this product per acre <br />to control or suppress many weeds, including downy brome, cheatgrass, cereal <br />rye and jointed goatgrass in rangelands. Apply when most brome plants are io <br />early flower and before the plants, including seedheads, mm color. Allowing <br />for secondary weed flushes to occur in the spring following min events further <br />depletes the seed reserve and encourages perennial gross conversion on weedy <br />sites. Fall applications are possible, and recommended, where spring moisture is <br />usually limiud and fall germination allows for good weed growth. <br />For medusahead, apply 16 fluid ounces of this product per acre at the 3-leaf stage. <br />Delaying applications beyond this stage will result in reduced or unacceptable <br />control. Controlled burning may be useful in eliminating the thauh layer produced <br />by slow decaying calms prior m application. Allow new growth to occur before <br />spraying after a bum. Repeat applications in subsequent years may be necessary <br />to eliminate the seed-bank before reesmblishing desirable perennial grosses m <br />medusahead-dominated rangelands. <br />PRECAUTIONS, RESTRICTIONS: Slight discoloration of the desirable gasses <br />may occur, but they will regreen and regrow under moist soil conditions as effects <br />of this product wear off. Do not use ammonium sulfau when spraying rangeland <br />grosses with this product. No waiting period between treanent and feeding of <br />livestock grazing rs inquired. Do not apply more than 3 quarts per acre per year. <br />11.0 ROUNDUP READY CROPS <br />7fie following instmctiens or those separately published on Supplemental labeling <br />include all epplicationswhichcan bemade onto the specified Roundup Ready crops <br />during the complete cropping season Do NOT combine these ins[metions with <br />other recommendations made for crop varieties that do not conain the Roundup <br />Ready gene, in the "ANNUAL AND PERENNIAL CROPS (Alphabetical)" <br />section of [his Zabel. <br />THIS COMPANY RECOMMENDS USE OF THIS PRODUCE FOR POSTE- <br />MERGENCE APPLICATION ONLY ON CROP VARIETIES DESIGNATED <br />', AS CONTAINING THE ROUNDUP READY GENE. <br />~~ Applying this product to crop varieties that are not designaud as Roundup Ready <br />will result in severe sop injury and yield loss. Avoid contact with fohage, green <br />stems, or fmlt of crops, or any desirable plants that do not contain the Roundup <br />Ready gene, since severe injury or destmcuon will result <br />The Roundup Ready designation indicates that the crop variety contains a paunted <br />gene that provides toleance to this product.
