Degree of suppression will vary with Ne size of weed and <br />rnvironmenml condidom following trratrvent <br />Application liming <br />For established grasses, apply when weeds arc in the seedling stage. <br />For grasses in the seedling smge, apply preplan[ or preemergrnce where the soil <br />(seed bed) has been cultivated. <br />BRUSH CONTROL <br />Application Information <br />ESCOR'I® XP is recommended for [he control of undesirable bms6 growing in <br />noncrop areas. Applications may be made by am, high volume ground application, <br />low volume ground apphcation and ultra-low volume ground application. Except <br />as noted for multiflora rase, ESCORI° XP should be applied as a spray to the <br />foliage. <br />The apphcation volume required will vary with the height and density of the bmsft <br />and the application equipment used. Refer m [he "Accord" label for list of <br />species cantraBed. <br />"Arsenal" herbicide <br />Combine 1 [0 2 ounces of ESCORT° XP with 1 to 4 pints of "Arsenal" her- <br />bicide per acre and apply az e broadcast spray. Attial applications should use a <br />minimum of IS gallonsper acre spray volume. In addidon to species Ested above <br />controlled by ESCOR7° XP, this combination controls black gum, hophombeam, <br />sassafras, swee[gum, Vaccinium species, dogwood, myrtle dahoon, hickories, and <br />persimmon. Refer to the "Garton" label <br />for list of species contro0ed. <br />DuPontTM KRENITE° S <br />After consulting [he "Brush Species Controlled" table, tank mix the prescribed <br />rate of ESCORT° XP with the rate of KRENITEa S indicated for the various <br />apphcation methods on flit KRENITEa S label. Refer to the KRENITE° 5 label <br />for list of species controlled. <br />"Tordon" K <br />After consulting the "Brash Species Controlled" tabiq tank mix the prcuribed <br />rate of ESCORTo XP with [he rate of "Tordon" K indicated for the various <br />application methods on the "Tordon" K label. Refer to the "Tordon" K label <br />for list of species controlled. <br />"Tordon" K + "Arsenal" herbicide <br />Combine 1 m 14: ounces of ESCORT° XP with 2 to 8 fluid ounces of "Arsenal" <br />end 1 to 2 pints of `Tordon" K per 100 gallons of water. Apply as a high volume <br />spray. The rank mix controls cherry, elms, boz elder, maples, hackberry, redbud, <br />ash, oaks (including shingle oak), black locust and sassafras. <br />•"Tordon" K is a restricted uu pesticide. ~ ' <br />Spotgum Bassl Soil Treatment <br />For control of multiflora rose, prepare a spray suspension of ESCOR7~ XP by <br />mixing 1 ounce per gallon of water. Mix vigorously until the ESCOR'7~ XP is <br />dispersed and agitate periodically while applying the spray suspension. <br />Apply the spray preparation with an exact delivery handgun applicator. Apply <br />st the rate of 4 milliliters for each 2 feet of rase canopy diamercc. Direct the <br />vestment to the soil within 2 feet of Ute stem union. When trearing large plants <br />roll more than ont delivery is required, make applications on opposite sides of <br />he plant. <br />Spplications should be made from early spring m summer. <br />,MPORTANT PRECAUTIONS-NON-CROP BRUSH ONLY <br />. When using rank mixmrcs of ESCORTa XP with companion herbicides, read <br />and follow all use instructions, app]ica[ion rates, warnings and precaufions <br />appearing on the labels. Follow the most restrictive label instmctions for each <br />of the herbicides used. <br />iPRAY EQUIPMENP <br />~o0owing en ESCORT° XP application, do not use the sprayer or m'vcing equip- <br />nent for application to agricultural crops, except that i[ may be used to treat <br />iasmre, range and wheat This is extremely important as low rates of ESCORT°~ <br />CP can kill or severely injure most agricultural crops. <br />'he selected sprayer should be equipped with en agitation system ro keep <br />iSCORT° XP suspended in the spiny tank.
