These intervals must be observed prior to planting cotton.
Do not apply preplan[ m cotton west of the Rockies.
Do not make BANVBL preplan[ applicadons m geographic areas with average
annual minfall less than 25".
if applying a spring pteplant trwtrnent fogowing application of a fall prephtnt
(posNarves[) ttratrneny then the combination of both treatments may not exceed
2 pounds acid equivalent per acre.
COTTON TANK MIXES
For wntrol of grasses or additional broadleafweeds, BANVEL may be tank mbted
wiOr BLsdex°, Caparo]°, Gmmoxone° Extra, and Roundup Ultra° RT herbicides.
'Not for cue in Glifomia.
SORGHUM (MILO)
Observe all precaudons, including the reference m crops growing under stress.
Read and follow mixing and application inswctions.
Apphcations of BANVEL to sorghum during periods Of rapid growth may result
is temporary leaning of plane or rolling of leaves. These effects are usually
outgrown within 10 to 14 days.
Do not graze or feed treated sorghum farnge or silage prior to mature grain smge.
If sorghum is grown for pasture or hay, refer m the pasture use section of this
label. Do no[ apply BANVEL ro sorghum groom for seed production.
Make no more than one application per growing season.
WEEDS CONTROLLED
BANVEL, when applied at the rc<ommended rate for sorghum, will control many
actively growing ANNUAL broadleaf weeds end will reduce competition from
established PERENNIAL broadleafweeds as well as control Iheu seedlings. (Refer
to GENERAL WEED L1S'1).
RATES AN'D TIMINGS
BANVEL may be apphed to emerged and actively growing weeds at ]east I S
days prior [o planting. Postemergence application of BANVEL must be made
after sorghum is N the spike stage (a]] sorghum emerged) but before sorghum is
tnches m11. Far best performance, make applications when sorghum is in the 3
leaf smge and weeds are small (less than 3 inches tall). Use drop pipes (drop
zzles) if sorghum is taller than 8 inches. Keeping the spray off the sorghum
Ieavrs and out of [he whorl wig reduce the likelihood of crop injury and improve
spray coverage of weed foliage.
Broadcast rate per [reeled acre:
TANK MIX TREATMENTS
BANVEL plus Atrazine:
For improved control of emerged, actively growing broadleaf weeds including
triazine resistant species and added suppression of perennial broadleaf weeds,
mnk mix 4r pint $pNVEL with 0.5 to 125 lbs. a.i. atrazine per treated acre.
For control of grasses (less than 1.5 inches mll), tank mix 4r pint BANVEL with
2 lbs. a.i. atmzme per treated acre. For best performance and minimal crop
injury, make application when sorghum is 3-8 inches tall and-when broadleaf
weeds are small (less than 6 inches tall). Application of atrazine must be made
before sorghum is beyond 12 inches tall. The atrazine mte will depend upon soil
ezmre and length of residual weed control dotted. Fogow all crate and Fedemi
restrictions pertaining m atrazine applications.
BANVEL plus Buctril°:
For improved control of broadleaf weeds, mnk mix 44 pint BANVEL with 1-1 4'r
pint Buctril° herbicide per treated acre. Make application at 4 leaf to I S-inch mll
sorghum. Use drop nozzles to direct spray beneath sorghum leaves when sorghum
is greamr than 8 inches mll.
READ AND FOLLOW THE LABEL OF EACH TANK MIX PRODUCT USED
FOR PRECAUTIONARY STATEMENTS, DIRECTIONS FOR USE, APPLICA-
TION RATES AND TIMAIGS, AND OTHER RESTR1CT1ONS.
OVERLAY (SEQUENTIAL) TREATMENTS
BANVEL may be applied to ground previously treated with one or mart of the
following hefiicides:
Herbicide Maximum Rate Pa Trnted Acre (Ibs. e.iJ
alachlor (Corso°) 4
(Screen°-neaed seed)
atrazinct 2.5
memlachlor (Dual 2.5
(Concep°-vexed nerd)
propaehbr (Ramrod°) 5
Maximum use rete for etrazine is de[ennined by soil type, Ollage practices used surface
residue, and smte or local restrimiont.
