The project is.located adjacent
to Kannah Creek within Section 32, Township 2 South, Range 2
East, Mesa County, Colorado.
Mr. Jeff Hoffman
Based on a site inspection by Mr. Randy Snyder of this
office on June 28, 1999, we determined that the proposed mining
area does not contain jurisdictional wetland. Therefore a
Department of the Army permit will not be required for this
project. However, waters of the United States (Kannah Creek),
including adjacent wetlands do exist adjacent the permit boundary
to the south. The permit boundary should be clearly marked in
the field to avoid any incidental impacts to the riparian area or
wetlands associated with Kannah Creek.
We have assigned number 199975205 to
Please contact Mr. Randy Snyder and refer
have any questions regarding this matter
requirements at (970) 243-1199, extension
below.
Sincerely,
this determination.
to this number if you
and for permit
14 or the address
Ken Jacobson
Chief, Southwestern Colorado
Regulatory Office
402 Rood Avenue, Room 142
Grand Junction, Colorado 81501-2563
Copy Furnished:
Mr. Tom Logue, Elam Construction, 1225 South 7th Street, Grand
Junction, Colorado 81501
Mr. Steve Shoey, Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology, 484
Turner, Building F101, Durango, Colorado 81301
